Join Our Series A Startup as Head of Marketing and Help Define Goodstack’s Story
We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Head of Marketing to lead our brand and product marketing efforts from the ground up.
What does success look like in this role? Establishing our brand as the disruptive category leader in the impact space and driving net new revenue growth through creating logo demand.
You’ll be instrumental in shaping how we communicate our unique value to corporate clients and nonprofits alike, taking ownership of positioning, messaging, and storytelling. In this role, you’ll focus on clearly articulating what Goodstack offers, why it matters, and who we’re here to help.
This is a standalone role, with potential to build a team as we scale. You’ll work closely with Sales, Product, and Partnerships to create effective marketing materials and craft the narrative that will drive Goodstack’s growth. If you’re passionate about brand-building and product marketing without a focus on paid media, this could be the perfect role for you!
As Head of Marketing, Your Mission Will Be To:
- Develop and own the messaging, positioning, and value propositions for Goodstack’s product lines, ensuring clarity in how we communicate with our target audiences.
- Collaborate closely with the Sales and Partnerships teams to create compelling sales materials, pitch decks, and case studies that support deal flow and client engagement.
- Lead content creation efforts across website, blog, social media, and other owned channels, producing high-quality, on-brand copy that builds awareness and trust.
- Build our top-of-funnel to deliver marketing-qualified leads, through growth marketing and account-based marketing.
- Represent Goodstack at events, building relationships and amplifying our brand presence in the corporate and nonprofit spaces.
- Ensure our marketing fundamentals are best-in-class, from setting up email marketing campaigns to using analytics as part of refining messaging effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Product to share insights and drive product roadmap.
- Develop and implement a communications strategy to keep stakeholders (both internal and external) informed and engaged.
After 3 Months, Success Will Look Like:
- Clear, customer-centric messaging for each of our product lines, aligned across all sales and marketing materials, included our website.
- A consistent stream of high-quality content that resonates with target audiences and reinforces our brand.
- A clear demand generation and account-based marketing strategy to help drive marketing-qualified leads at the top of the sales funnel.
This Role Is a Perfect Match for You If You Have:
- 7+ years of marketing experience, with a strong background in product marketing or a related field.
- Proven experience crafting positioning and messaging that drives product adoption and customer engagement.
- A track record of creating and managing content that tells a compelling brand story, ideally in a B2B or SaaS setting.
- Excellent copywriting skills and a strong eye for detail in content, branding, and messaging.
- Familiarity with email marketing tools, CRM platforms, and basic web analytics.
- High adaptability and a proactive approach with the drive to build a marketing function from scratch.
Bonus If You Have Knowledge Or Love Of:
- The nonprofit sector or experience with social impact-focused brands.
- Familiarity with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) or employee engagement initiatives within corporations.
